The San Pedro Apostol Church, located in Loboc municipality, is just 30 minutes away from our prime hotel in Baclayon. Don’t worry, the ride to this historic church will be enjoyable as you’ll be treated to stunning views of the beautiful landscapes of the island. Known as the Loboc Church, it is the second oldest church in Bohol. Unfortunately, it couldn’t preserve most of its original structure and suffered significant damage during the 2013 earthquake. But nothing to worry though, because reconstruction efforts have been made to restore it to its former glory. And now, you can freely visit it as Loboc Church is still one of the most popular attractions in town!

Dauis Church

Dauis Church, also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, is situated in the charming town of Dauis, located in the picturesque Panglao Island. This historic church was completed in 1923 and, similar to the Loboc church, was unfortunately struck by an earthquake in 2013, but was meticulously restored in 2017.  To this day, the church is known for its captivating and detailed design, which features a blend of neo-gothic and neo-classical architecture. Not to mention, the watch and bell tower were constructed from corals, which add to the overall splendor of the church. It is certainly wonderfully and meticulously made!

After experiencing the captivating history of these majestic churches and immersing yourself in the beauty of the past, you can make your way back to our prime hotel in Baclayon to have the best relaxation experience.
